Empowering Families to Support Student Success

Join our free monthly workshops designed to equip parents and guardians with tools, resources, and community connections to help students succeed in school and beyond. Each session features local experts and practical strategies you can use at home.

👥 Who Should Attend:
Open to all parents and guardians in Genesee County who are supporting school-age students. Content is especially geared toward parents and guardians of high school-aged students who are preparing for graduation, post-secondary education, or entering the workforce.

🗓 When: Every 2nd Wednesday of the month, 5:30–6:30 PM
📍 Where: GearUp2Lead – 141 W. Second St., Flint, MI (Zoom option available)
💡 Topics: Online learning, mental wellness, academic support, and more

A Two-Generation Approach to Education

We're proud to take a two-generation approach to success. Through a partnership with the Michigan College Access Network (MCAN) and the Michigan Reconnect program (“scholarship program that pays for you to attend your in-district community college tuition-free or offers a large tuition discount if you attend an out-of-district community college”), our workshops not only support students—but also connect parents and guardians to education and career opportunities that help their entire household thrive.
